MCCD Data Analysis Software

The software is not gathered into a single place. 
Most of these are in /solar/Mees/MCCD/bin and /solar/Mees/MCCD/idl, but
that is not universal.

1) Reading the data tapes

	EXAREAD is a standalone program that reads tapes from
		either the spectrograph camera (CAM) or
		the slit jaw/monitor frame grabber (FG).
		The raw data is formatted into FITS files on disk.

	MCCD_RENAME is an IDL procedure that renames the FITS files
		with the current standard nomenclature.

2) Searching a data cube

	SPECHELIO2 is an IDL program to display CAM spectroheliograms
		and spectra, interactively.

3) Calibration

	Dark data should be averaged or smoothed.

	Flats are usually made from the data, since the flat lamp
		is not bright enough.

	At high dispersion and/or no binning the rotation of the
		CCD w.r.t. the spectral direction and the tilt
		of the spectrum lines is noticeable.
