STOKES POLARIMETER DATABASE ------------------------------ 1.1 Present database 87-91 9-track tapes (copied to 10 Exabytes by AAP) stored in Manoa 91-96 50 Exabytes, typically 1/3 full stored in Manoa 1.2 Present media production and storage A koa cron job sends data to milo; when milo directory gets full, AAP copies data to Exabyte tape Exabytes are kept in file drawers in digital mongolia 1.3 Changes to media production/distribution effective June-August EKO will revise koa cron job to send data to MSU (tbd), LMPARL (tbd), and Manoa (kukui). DLM will copy kukui disk to Exabyte tape in Manoa and store AAP will make a complete Exabyte copy of existing database RCC will take those copies to MSU, make CDROM for MSU, LMPARL, UH TRM will take AAPs reduced magnetogram database to CD, make copies for MSU, LMPARL, UH BJL will install automated on-line reduction of magnetograms 1.4 Changes to media storage effective May 1 Original database will stay in Manoa, copy at MSU CD copies will exist at UH, MSU, LMPARL 1.5 Future data access Non-issue 2. IVM DATABASE --------------- 2.1 Present database May 1992 - March 1996: 970 Exabyte tapes stored in Manoa 2.2 Present media production and storage Exabytes are written at Mees, mailed to and stored in Manoa 2.3 Changes to media production/distribution Copies have been sent to Lockheed as of 27-Jan-96 Originals will still be mailed to Manoa 2.4 Changes to media storage Card files will be moved to B113-A Duplicate copy of data will be at LMPARL starting 27-Jan-96 2.5 Future data access DLM will be the keeper of the Manoa archive He will respond to requests with a copy or original, best way 3.
